A vacancy has become available within the Commercial Department at Smirthwaite.
We are looking for an Export Sales Manager to join the team.
The Role
- We are seeking a dynamic office and field-based individual with proven experience in sales and negotiation who has the ability to conduct extensive research on key worldwide paediatric markets to develop and execute high yielding strategies.
- You will be an expert communicator, ideally with experience of logistics and helping creating marketing campaigns to promote products and services. You will need to be confident and have a huge passion for success and a dedication to supporting children and families for life.
- Essential Duties
- Researching markets: Identifying potential markets and studying the market in target countries to identify funding streams and competitor landscapes.
- Developing strategies: Creating sales campaigns and strategies to promote products and services
- Negotiating contracts: Negotiating sales terms and contracts with clients
- Managing agents: Helping to appoint and managing agents and distributors
- Organizing promotions: Helping to plan and organise sales promotions
- Managing administration: Helping with the management orders, contracts, and export documents
- Central point of contact for the resolution of export customers queries and enquiries with the assistance of our CS team.
- Central point of support for the customer service team on export queries
- Drive existing and new customer business via strategic growth initiatives
- Proactively engage with customers via health check calls, monitoring feedback and driving business improvement actions
- Maintain a detailed database of customer contacts and influencers
- Travel to destinations outside the UK to meet customers where required

- Maintains professional internal and external relationships that meet company core values
Desirable
- Experience of paediatric equipment for disabled children/the medical device industry
- Speaks a language/s outside of English
- Direct sales skills in export markets
